A Court granted former Imo Gov. Ikedi Ohakim of Imo N270M bail on charges of money laundering yesterday, Thursday.
Ohakim, who left office in 2011, was arraigned in Federal High Court, Abuja on a three-count charge bordering on money laundering filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
In his ruling, Justice Adeniyi Ademola accepted his bail application and granted Ohakim bail with the sum of N270million and a surety in like sum.
The judge also ordered Ohakim to deposit his international passport with the court’s registrar.
N270million as bail?
